Pittsburgh Zoo Round One

One of the first things we did while visiting Christine and Alex was visit the zoo.

I definitely got a lot of exercise and also took plenty of pictures.

This orangutan obviously prefers celery because she meticulously picked the celery out of the pile of vegetables.

Most of the big cats were asleep but the gorillas were chilling outside in the shade.

The elephants were content in a mix of sun and shade.

If you are interested, for $10 a zoo employee will take a picture of your family with an elephant using your camera.  Obviously we didn't.

Mike and I are of course partial to bears.  This one had just eaten and was looking a little sleepy.

Those fish were really considering nibbling on those little fingers.  They followed him back and forth.  I posted this for all the moms of small children we know.  Consider it a public service announcement.  Beware of big hungry fish near your child!

This is a snake neck turtle.  Crazy!

The jellyfish were really pretty and delicate.  That is enough pictures for one post.  More to come!
