Aquarium Visit!!!

We took E to the aquarium for the first time last week.  E wasn't quite as interested in the fish as she was in the the zoo animals.

I think the small fish were hard to spot in the big tanks but she definitely noticed the larger fish.

I love lobsters!  Especially with butter!  Yum!!!

E was happy to stay in her stroller for the most part.

It's amazing how many types of sea creatures there are!

Poor diver was just trying to do his job cleaning the tank.  He did wave and interact with the kids!

Mike is sweet with E!  He points things out and tries to teach her new words.

I know the pretty frogs are poisonous but I still love them!

We think E wanted the tiger to come closer so she could pet him.  We stayed there for quite a while until she was done watching him.

E really enjoyed the outing!

We waited in line to touch the stingrays.

The stingrays will come right to you because you have the option to feed them.  It was fun to touch them.  We didn't let E touch them because I didn't want her fingers to get nibbled.

We rode the train to see the sharks at the end of our visit.

Apparently one of the sharks escaped but we found him.  I saw it coming and was wondering if the loud noise and large splash of water would upset E but she didn't seem startled at all.  We had a great time and I think E will enjoy it even more when she is big enough for the rides!

First Zoo Trip!!!

E went to the zoo for the first time recently.  She was very interested in all of the animals!

She did a lot of pointing which was helpful since I wasn't always sure if she could see the animals or not.

E was willing to sit in the stroller for a while but did make it known that she wanted to get out for a closer look once in a while.

We went early and sough out the big animals first because we knew it was going to get hot quickly!

The lions were having a birthday party for the lionesses.  They were very active due to all the festivities!

E handled the heat well!  She ate snacks and drank juice throughout the visit.  She wasn't a fan of the misters but we took her through them to help her cool down.

Almost all the animals were out and easy to spot.  The crowds weren't too bad either.

I have to make sure that I am in the pictures once in a while instead of always being behind the camera.

I think the eagle was offended that E called him a duck.  We'll keep working on her vocabulary.

E was keeping an eye on the Komodo Dragon.  She didn't trust him.  We finished up at the zoo just in time to have a late lunch at Jus Mac!
